Kierkegaard

A Brief Overview of the Life and Writings of Søren Kierkegaard

Albert Anderson

The Danish Philosopher / Theologian wrote for “that solitary individual, the reader I call my own.” He wrote for every thoughtful reader everywhere, in every time. Kierkegaard, indirectly offers three principal options that pervade the human condition. The human condition is a disability healed only by divine intervention based on one’s eternal link to God. Anderson provides substance to make the readier sit up and think, yet he does it with language that can easily be handled.

Dr. Albert Anderson has been a professor and administrator in various colleges and universities. He served as president of three. He has published several books and articles in philosophy and philanthropy, among them a collaboration with Reidar Thomte on the translation and notes for Kierkegaard’s The Concept of Anxiety. Anderson studied in Copenhagen and holds advanced degrees from Luther Northwestern Seminary, the University of Minnesota, and Harvard University. Now retired, he and his wife make their home on a lakeshore in Northern Minnesota.
