Lutherans and Theological Method
|
Perennial Questions and Contemporary Challenges
David C. Ratke, Editor
|
The essays in this book address the question, “Is there a ‘Lutheran’ way of doing theology?” Some presenters think of method as a starting point or a meta-doctrine. Other presenter think of method as a way of seeing: it is a kind of lens. Justification may be the predominant mode of a Lutheran way of doing theology, but it is far from the only mode. The answers that theologians provide in this volume are varied.
Dr, David C. Ratke is Assistant Professor, School of History, Philosophy & Religion, Lenoir Rhine College, Hickory, North Carolina He has a Ph.D. from Regensburg University (Germany), an M.Div. from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, an M.A. from Graduate Theological Union, and his B.A. is from University of Alberta (Canada).
