Kirsi Stjerna



Rev. Dr. Kirsi Stjerna a native of Finland, is assistant professor of Reformation Church History at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, where she directs the Institute for Luther Studies. She has her Master of Theology degree from the University of Helsinki (1988) and her Ph.D. in Church History from Boston Uiversity (1995). She served as Associate Director for Theological Education in the ELCA Division for Ministry, 1999-2000. Her special areas of research include late Medieval and "Lutheran" spirituality, Mysticism, Medieval and Reformation women. Previously she has served as a pastor in Finland and in New England, USA.
